1 month ago	WALKERDINE'S BOOK LAUNCH A GREAT SUCCESS Derek Walkerdine's book launch proved to be a highly enjoyable evening that attracted a huge crowd. Well done to all those who helped organise it, the snacks were good, the beer was great and the sound, care of Keith's Madonna mikes, was perfect. Oh and Derek's book was pretty good to - well done Derek! Here are a few pictures
Posted three weeks ago	DEREK WALKERDINE'S BOOK LAUNCH ALL CLUB MEMBERS AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO THE “LAUNCH” OF “THE HISTORY OF KNOWLE LAWN TENNIS CLUB 1893 -2007”. PUT IT IN YOUR DIARIES - THURSDAY, 8TH MAY 7.30PM IN THE CLUBHOUSE, NIBBLES AND A BAR. If you did not know about Derek's book and are, perhaps living in a cave, I have to say it's a great read and gives an informative account of how the club has evolved since the 19th Century. It's a development that is directly related to the growth and changes in and around Knowle and, as such, the book provides a facinating social history of the area. The book is very reasonably priced at £5.00 (£1 for each copy sold will be donated to KLTC). Well that's my big sell out the way, see you there....adrian.

The website is hosted by different people so it should be faster and allow us to include a few new innovations - when I find time to do the programming. In terms of content, I’m always happy to receive pictures and written content. Unfortunately I could not make finals day, does anyone have pictures or even a match report? If so email me ....ade
Posted 2007	Knowle Tennis Club is proud to present clips from the much awaited Dave Willford self-improvement video. First off is the famous Willford backhand - note the jaunty swagger. The second clip is of a new type of tennis known as underwater freestyle. 'Underwater freestyle' or, to give it it's more common name, 'aqua tennis' is usually played by two or more players following several pints of beer.
